Microlocks refer to a lock that is smaller than a pencil. They are generic locks installed by a trained Microlocks Loctician. Many terms are used around the world including Tinylocs, Rootlocks, Interlocks. These all refer to the generic form of small locks.
Sisterlocks on the other hand are trade-marked and installed by a certified Sisterlocks Consultant.
Nubian Crown Hair Studio completed training and instituted Microlocks as a comprehensive service in 2018. The sub-brand Microlocks SA by Nubian Crown was registered that same year. CLIENT INVESTMENT REQUIRED
The price point for installation is between R1,500 and R7,000 depending on whether the client is a child or an adult, a head with shaved sides or full head, the length of the hair, the installation technique and installation with or without extensions.
Installation time is between 8 hours and 16 hours, depending on the already mentioned factors.
